Day 2 - Touring Tel Aviv

Started the day by touring the town and visiting the spot that Prime Minister Rabin was murdered. This was an eye opening time for Israel. If there was any indication of turmoil in this country, this event was it was an eye opener for Israel .

Visiting Jaffa, one of the first seaports in Israel. This is where Jonah tried to escape God's command to go to Nineveh.  It would be like God telling me to go save the lost in south central Los Angeles. He just did not want to do it so he hopped on a boat here in Jaffa. From there, you know the story of him getting thrown off the boat and getting swallowed by a large fish. This is where it all happened.  Jaffa over 2500 years ago was the foothold and the beginning of the town of Tel Aviv.

Point to ponder
We had lunch next to a mosque.  We could hear the afternoon prayers being offered. The Muslims pray 5 times a day, the Jews pray 3 times a day  all this for the love and honor of God.
Why then is there so much conflict among these peoples who love and honor God. They are willing to show it to God but not to each other.
